By Bus
All busses from "out of town" will either terminate or pass along the Whitesands (see map below). After alighting from the bus head up to the traffic lights at the top of the Whitesands and turn left onto Buccleuch Street Bridge. On the far side of the bridge cross the road at the traffic lights and join Glasgow Street (dual carriageway) and then take the first left onto David Street. Take the first right onto King Street and you will see the Ice Bowl approximately two hundred yards along the road beside the football ground. By Train
From Dumfries Railway Station pass the right-hand side of the Station Hotel and turn left onto Lovers Walk and proceed to the traffic lights at the junction with Edinburgh Road. Turn left and follow the road into Dumfries town centre past Dumfries Academy (once attended by John Laurie and J M Barrie). Follow the main road past Burns Statue and on down Buccleuch Street on the left as you approach the traffic light you will see Cavens Arms which is highly recommended for both real food and real ales. Pass straight through the traffic light and cross Buccleuch Street bridge. On the far side of the bridge cross the road at the traffic lights and join Glasgow Street (dual carriageway) and then take the first left onto David Street. Take the first right onto King Street and you will see the Ice Bowl approximately two hundred yards along the road beside the football ground. Eating & Drinking
Dumfries Ice Bowl has a well appointed snack bar that does a fine range of both hot and cold food there is also a licensed bar on match nights. In the rink itself there are a range of vending machines for both snacks and drinks. If you arrive early enough we highly recommend Cavens Arms on Buccleuch Street (just after the junction with Whitesands). However you do need to allow time for being served there if you are eating as the food is cooked from fresh rather than frozen and it is a very popular bar/restaurant. For the real ale drinkers Cavens has won the regional CAMRA pub of the year for six consecutive years. Further on up Buccleuch Street there is also a Wetherspoons which also comes highly recommended. If you in more of a hurry there is an excellent fish and chip shop on Glasgow road close to the Ice Bowl.

We hope that you have found these directions helpful and look forward to enjoying your company on match night.
