Solway Sharks Supporters Club

In the near future we are intending to start a Solway Sharks Supporters Club.

This supporters club will run independently from the Solway Sharks but will retain close ties with the ice hockey club. In addition to the social and recreational activities that the supporters club may run its members will also receive benefits from the Sharks such as heavily discounted travel opportunities on the team bus and discounts on club merchandise.

If this appeals to you then why not become involved.

If the Solway Sharks are to survive and grow it is extremely important that we grow our fan base. However, the new committee is acutely aware that this has to come from within the club as well as from the supporters themselves. If you have any ides then we are always ready to listen. You can contact committee members on match nights and through the contacts page on this website.

The Sharks would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who turned up to the open supporters meeting in the Ice Bowl on Tuesday (16/08) night. A frank and open discussion took place where the new committee explained where the club stood financially and what needed to be attained on and off the ice to have a successful season.

The committee was especially pleased to receive offers of help and to hear the many excellent suggestions that came back from the floor. All comments will be investigated further in the coming weeks and wherever possible will be implemented. Following on from this initial meeting it was agreed to hold another open supporters meeting once the season is underway with a projected date around the end of September.
