On Saturday evening the
Black Bull of Moffat sponsored Solway Sharks travelled to
Aberdeen Lynx and were ahead 17-1 when the game had to be ended
prematurely due to a serious injury to an Aberdeen player.
With
eight minutes still to play in the final period, a Lynx player went
down with a neck/back injury and with rink staff unable to move the
player, both coaches agreed to send the teams to the showers while
medical personnel arrived to deal with the incident.
The
victory improves the Sharks Scottish National League record to
twelve wins, three losses and a single draw to sit third place in
the table.
Everyone
at Solway Sharks wishes the injured player a speedy recovery.
(Edit: thankfully he was fine and playing again a few weeks later).
