The Solway Sharks, sponsored by the Black Bull of Moffat, ran out ten-one winners over the Blackburn Hawks on Saturday evening in a fairly one-sided Northern League tie. Terry Robertson (pictured left) was the top scorer on the night with three goals while Kevin Conway was named Man of the Match. Other Sharks scorers on the night were Tim McKay and Kevin Conway with two apiece, while Mark Gallagher, Euan Edgar, and John Ballentyne were also on target. Aaron Davies was the lone scorer for the Hawks and their Man of the Match was Craig Rogers. Statistics for the Sharks were: Terry Robertson three goals and no assists, Tim McKay 2+2, Kevin Conway 2+0, Mark Gallagher and John Ballentyne 1+1, Euan Edgar 1+0, Bari McKenzie 0+3, Struan Tonnar and Chris Gracie 0+2, Cammy Currie, Alan Crane, Corrie Telfer and Shaun Kippin all 0+1. Sharks netminder Scott McMeeken saved twenty of the twenty-one shots that he faced (Save percentage 95.24%).
